The Best Way to Exchange Currency in Italy

Posted by at 5:43 AM Read our previous post

1. Stop at the money changers inside the airport. These facilities accept a wide range of currency, but the rates are less than desirable. Exchange only enough to survive on until you reach a different currency exchange location.
2. Stop by a bank that provides currency exchange. Signs in the bank's windows state this. Banks in larger cities typically offer the best exchange rates.
3. Ask your hotel desk clerk about currency exchange. Many hotels provide this service. The daily rates are displayed on a sign by the front desk.
4. Convert your money at a local money changer. These are located near tourist areas in Italy. Though their exchange rates are not as as high as banks', they are extremely convenient.
