How to Use Laptops to Trade FOREX

Posted by at 2:15 AM Read our previous post

1. Identify a Forex broker you wish to use in your Forex trading. The Forex industry is large and there are many brokers from which to choose. Ensure that the Forex broker's trading platform is compatible with the operating system of your laptop computer.
2. Download and install the Forex trading platform provided by your broker to your laptop computer. Some brokers allow you to test drive their platform using a virtual account before you sign up.
3. Establish a reliable Internet connection for your laptop. While wireless Internet, such as Wi-Fi, and dial-up connections may be adequate for the purposes of contacting a broker, signing up for an account and downloading software, these connections are not advised for actual Forex trading. Laptops are often used on wireless networks, but this should be avoided when doing real-time trading. A minor disruption in service could dramatically affect the precision of a trade's execution.
4. Launch the Forex trading software on your laptop after you have opened and funded a Forex brokerage account. Each platform is different but most display obvious buttons labeled 'Buy' and 'Sell' for each of the currencies supported by the broker. Trade Forex on the laptop using these buttons.
