1. Find a school that offers stock trading courses. Many area trade schools have finance courses that teach students the basics of trading. To find an area school, use the directory on Collegebound.net.
2. Attend an online stock trading course. If you would rather attend courses outside of the classroom on your own schedule, then sign up for online stock trading courses. Check out the virtual class offerings from the Trading Academy.
3. Choose the area of study for your stock courses. Stock trading education can focus on different areas of the market. Programs include stock trading, Forex trading, futures, options and more.
4. Learn about the course and instructor. Research the instructor's background in finance in order to ensure you're getting an informed teacher. You'll also want a course that includes visual learning tools, such as graphs and charts in addition to your texts.
5. Take a course that has live trading. Live trading gives you practical techniques to use in the market more so than simulated trading.
