1. Locate the exchange rate of interest on your table. You need to know the number of foreign units per dollar.
2. If your table only shows you the number of dollars per foreign unit that you are interested in, you can convert that value to the number of foreign units per dollar. Divide the number 1 by the number of foreign units per dollar. If your table already shows you the number of foreign units per dollar, you can skip this step.
3. Multiply the number of dollars that you want to convert to foreign exchange by the number of foreign units per dollar—either from the table, or your calculation. That is the amount of foreign currency that your dollars are worth.
