1. Locate your nearest currency exchange service. The most popular currency exchange service is Travelex. Travelex is a London-based company and the largest foreign exchange currency company within North America and Europe. Your local currency exchange office will be able to take all of your available coins and exchange them.
2. Count all of your foreign coins and figure out how much money you have so that when you hand it over to the currency exchange office you will know the amount that they are going to convert beforehand. This helps eliminate any errors that may occur. Do not attempt to convert this amount into U.S. dollars. When you get to the currency exchange office they will tell you what the current exchange rate is.
3. Go to the currency exchange office and give them your coins. They will double check the amount of coins that you have, determine how much they are worth in the national currency, then tell you how much you will be getting back in U.S. dollars.
4. The exchange office will now take all of your foreign coins and give you the amount you sold them for in United States currency.
