How to Learn to Day Trade Stocks

Posted by at 7:31 AM Read our previous post

1. Purchase a beginner's or introductory book about day trading, such as 'Day Trading for Dummies,' by Ann C. Logue, 'A Beginner's Guide to Day Trading Online,' by Toni Turner, 'The Complete Guide to Day Trading' by Markus Heitkoetter or 'The Ultimate Day Trader' by Jacob Bernstein.
2. Enroll in a webinar. Webinars are online or pre-recorded video-conferencing sessions where a live teacher may instruct you over the Internet, or you may go at your own pace through a series of video sessions. Many webinars are offered free from trading companies; for example, Day Trading Tutor offers a free 'Becoming a Professional Day Trader' webinar, which focuses on having an effective trading strategy.
3. Attend a trading convention, such as the International Traders Expo. Some conferences (the Traders Expo included) offer free admission. You'll spend your time taking a variety of conferences and seminars, plus you will have access to exhibitors in every facet of the trading world.
4. Find local trading-instruction classes, given by private companies or nearby community colleges. If you can't find something in your area, try enrolling in an online program, such as the Online Trading Academy's school, which offers both free courses (The 7 Pillars of Trading) and paid programs.
5. Order day-trading instructional CDs, such as 'Trading Software and Skill Development' or 'Basic Stock Market and Technical Analysis' from Princeton Daytrading. Some CDs include test packets.
