1. Visit your local bank. If you are a customer, you may withdraw funds from your bank account. Otherwise, bring enough cash to withdraw your desired amount of Canadian dollars. For example, if the current exchange rate is $1.05 US for every Canadian dollar, you will need approximately $105.00 for every $100 Canadian. Keep in mind that the exchange rate at the bank will be slightly higher than the actual currency exchange rate.
2. Tell the bank clerk how much you would like in Canadian funds. She will let you know the bank's exchange rate and tell you how many US dollars you will need to complete the transaction.
