How to Enter Data for a Control Chart in Minitab

1. Click the 'Start' button from your desktop and the move your mouse over the 'All Programs' option.
2. Click the 'Minitab' option and the application will load onto your screen. Click the 'Stat' option from the top menu.
3. Select the 'Control Charts' option and then click the 'Variable Charts for Subgroups' option. Click the 'S,' 'Xbar' or 'Xbar-S' option, depending on the type of chart you want to open.
4. Click on your chart and click the 'Editor' option from the top toolbar menu. Click the 'Insert Cells' option. Enter your data into each cell you create.
5. Click the 'Editor' option from the top menu and click the 'Enable Command Language' option if you want to enter your data using the command prompt.
6. Enter 'DATA>' into the command line and press the enter key on your keyboard. Enter the data you want added to your chart into the 'Data' prompt.
7. Enter 'END' into the command line and enter 'MTB>' to return to the main command prompt.
