How to Calculate Currency Values

Posted by at 1:45 AM Read our previous post

1. Go to one of the currency sites listed in the References.
2. Check the currency pairing you are looking for. For example, the euro-USD (U.S. dollar) value may be listed as 1.35, meaning one euro equals 1.35 USD. If you do not see the currencies you seek immediately listed, you may need to enter them into one of the drop-down menus.
3. Multiply the figure given by the amount of the currency you wish to calculate the value of to get an equivalent of the former currency in the latter currency. For example, to convert 500 euros to USD, multiply 500 by 1.35, which yields 675, the number of dollars that equal 500 euros at the time of the calculation.
4. Divide the amount of money in the latter currency by the figure to get the equivalent value of the former figure. For instance to convert 500 USD to euros, divide 500 by 1.35, yielding 370.37 euros.
