1. Identify a broker that offers demo account services. Usually you should choose a broker that offers features you would eventually like to use when funding a real account. This way you can see how the broker performs in the demo environment before choosing to commit your capital to the broker's services. Most Forex brokers offer demo accounts.
2. Click the link on the broker's website that says 'free practice account' or 'open a demo account.' These links are usually provided on the front page of the Forex broker's website.
3. Complete the sign-up form provided on the demo registration page. Use a valid email address if requested as many brokers send the account registration information by email. Alternately, provide a convenient phone number so the broker can call you with the log-in details.
4. Wait for the registration information to arrive by email or phone. This will usually be immediate. The log-in username and password are provided in these details.
5. Visit the Forex broker's log-in page. This will usually be linked on the front page of its website; however, a registration email often provides this information as well. Alternately, if the Forex broker does not use a web interface but instead requires proprietary trading software, click the link in the email to download this program and then install it after it has completed the download.
6. Log-in to the Forex website or trading software using the demo account username or password provided in the email confirmation or phone call from the broker.
