Read our previous post
1. Click 'Start' and then click 'All Programs.' Click 'MetaTrader.'
2. Click 'Tools' and then click 'History Center.'
3. Double-click the currency pair that your EA trades on and then click '1 Minute.'
4. Click the large 'Download' button.
5. Click the 'Strategy Tester' button that is located on the tool bar.
6. Click the 'Expert Advisor' drop-down menu to select your Expert Advisor from the list.
7. Click the 'Symbol' drop-down menu to select the currency pair for which you are optimizing the Expert Advisor. It should be the same currency pair for which you downloaded data earlier.
8. Click the 'Period' drop-down menu box and click 'M1.'
9. Click the 'Use Date' box and then click the appropriate month and year for how far into the past the optimization should test from. Repeat the step in the 'To:' field.
10. Click the 'Optimization' check box.
11. Click the 'Expert Properties' box. Click within the check box of each option that you want the MetaTrader to test for when the dialog box appears.
12. Click 'OK' and then click 'Start.'
