1. Open up the FXCM Metatrader platform by clicking on the icon on your desktop or opening it up from your 'Start Menu.'
2. Click on the 'View' tab on the toolbar at the top.
3. Click on 'MarketWatch' and a list of currencies available for trading will appear on a new screen in a window on the left-hand side. In addition to currencies futures contracts for the S&P 500 and NASDAQ; oil and gold will also appear.
4. Create a new chart by right-clicking on the currency that you wish to create a chart for and select 'New Chart.' You can also click on 'File' on the toolbar and select 'New Chart' and choose the currency pair that you wish to use.
